As a Field Sales Manager at UrbanPiper, you will play an instrumental role in fueling Urban Piper’s growth through new customer acquisition. In this role you will lead a team of high-performing Account Executives focussed specifically on your segment of focus / set of geographical territories. You will lead by example, help the team to develop their skills, deliver on their ambitious targets, and roll your sleeves up to work directly with customers.
We are looking for a proactive leader who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, managing high-performing teams and solving problems with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have experience scaling and managing a technology sales team, and possess first-class analytical, communication and relationship-building skills.

What you’ll do
Recruit, develop and lead a team of new business sales professionals
Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team and manage day-to-day operations, with a focus on performance against key sales metrics
Be accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition at high rates of growth
Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle
Play a personal and direct role in building and maintaining enduring customer relationships, up to the C-level
Inspire, motivate and enable personal and career development of team members, both to promote career growth and to increase impact for UrbanPiper
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with product, sales engineering, marketing and customer success teams in the organization to help shape UrbanPiper’s products and solutions to meet customer needs in the United Kingdom
Participate in industry events to help drive market awareness & win over advocates
Own your team’s quotas and manage against aggressive sales targets
Collaborate closely with Sales / Revenue Operations to consistently improve the sales process through standardization and best practice adoption
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
5+ years of experience and 2+ years experience managing a sales team & owning revenue targets
Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms
Demonstrated passion for helping to scale new technology businesses
Process orientation with an ability to think at scale
Ability to hire, train and coach a high-performance sales team
Ability to build strategic executive relationships with customers and industry thought leaders
Technical aptitude and curiosity to boot; you’re passionate about diving deep into a software product stack
You operate with a strong attention to detail
You’re a team player and highly collaborative; you seamlessly manage upwards, downwards and laterally
Fluent in English
University degree in Business / Marketing / Mathematics or other relevant studies
Demonstrated experience working in the Food-tech, B2B SaaS (Software as a Service) or PaaS (Platform as a Service) space
Experience using HubSpot / Salesforce CRMs to manage lead assignment, territories, generate account lists, reports & create dashboards
MBA or equivalent
