UrbanPiper offers an integration layer that powers the operational efficiency of 25K+ restaurants across India & abroad for selling online through their own white-labeled platform(website/app) or any of the leading food aggregator platforms — Swiggy, Zomato, Dunzo, Amazon Foods, etc.

 

At present, we are processing nearly 2 million transactions every month. By the end of this year, we will be growing this number to 10 million. The most defining aspects of our work related to — consistency, reliability, scalability and agility. We make use of a wide variety of technologies and process significantly large amounts of data on a daily basis.

The Team


This team is the revenue generation engine for the Meraki product, which is one of UrbanPiper’s key offerings that help restaurant owners to build and deploy their own online delivery website/app. In a world dominated by online aggregator apps, restaurants are looking to grow their online business that doesn’t solely rely on giving away hefty commissions.



You will:


  • Be responsible for diligently managing the health of your deal pipeline and find ways to build your pipeline over and beyond the deals that flow in through marketing efforts.

  • Engage with prospective clients over email, phone, video conferencing and if required, visit them at their establishments, with the goal of making them understand better about our products and close the deal.

  • Manage complex technical sales pitches with business owners and key decision makers.

  • Keep meticulous notes to track our engagement with prospective customers, using CRM and other sales tools.

  • Own the full sales cycle from lead to closure and be accountable for the go-live of the accounts while collaborating with the merchant on-boarding team.

  • Closely work with the Sales Operations and Strategy teams to understand the tactical decisions that improve our sales throughput and improve the sales processes.

  • Understand the key gaps in our product offerings as part of your regular discussions with customers and surface the business impact to the product teams.

  • Keep a clear focus on your personal target compliance, reliable revenue forecasting and ownership of sales pipeline as communicated through CRM.

 

We are looking for someone who has/is:

  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably selling a technical product.

  • A good understanding of the food tech industry.

  • Capable of exhibiting an empathetic, precise and articulate approach towards engaging senior decision makers and helping them understand the business value in adopting a SaaS/technical solution.

  • A clear and correct manner of communicating their thoughts verbally or in a written form.

  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.

  • Experience at selling a SaaS solution and able to understand technical topics comfortably.

  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements.

  • Well versed in managing their day-to-day activities on a CRM tool like Salesforce.

  • Good analytical and quantitative capabilities.
