Country Sales Lead - UK&I (based in the United Kingdom)

As a Country Sales Manager at UrbanPiper, you will play an instrumental role in fueling Urban Piper’s growth in your region through new customer acquisition and existing customer expansions. In this role, you will lead a team of high-performing sales managers and sales reps  to expand Urban Piper’s presence across the United Kingdom and adjacent markets. You will lead by example, help the team to develop their skills, deliver on their ambitious targets, and roll up your sleeves to work directly with customers whenever required.

 

We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, managing high-performing teams and solving problems with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have experience scaling and managing a technology sales team, and possess first-class analytical, communication and relationship-building skills.

What you’ll do

  • Recruit, develop and lead a team of sales managers & sales representatives

  • Be the face of UrbanPiper in your region

  • Be responsible for setting up Urban Piper’s local office and operations

  • Develop the long-term vision and strategy for your region and manage day-to-day operations, with a focus on performance against key sales metrics

  • Be accountable for increasing revenue through new client acquisition and existing client expansion, at high rates of growth

  • Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle

  • Play a personal and direct role in building and maintaining enduring customer relationships, up to the C-level with our largest customers

  • Inspire, motivate and enable personal and career development of team members, both to promote career growth and to increase impact for UrbanPiper

  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with product, sales engineering, marketing and customer success teams in the organization to help shape UrbanPiper’s products and solutions to meet customer needs in your region

  • Participate in industry events to help drive market awareness & win over advocates

  • Own the country’s revenue targets and manage against aggressive sales targets 

  • Collaborate closely with Sales / Revenue Operations to consistently improve the sales process through standardization and best practice adoption

Job requirements

  • 7+ years of experience and 3+ years experience managing a sales team & owning revenue targets 

  • At least 1 year of experience managing managers 

  • A track record of successfully scaling sales teams in a SaaS company 

  • Experience of working with a high growth or scaling business - growth of more than 100% YoY minimum

  • A very strong knowledge of solution selling and managing a high velocity sales practice 

  • Strong understanding of metrics, analytics, and reporting methods

  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms

  • Ability to hire, train and coach a high-performance sales team

  • Ability to build strategic executive relationships with customers and industry thought leaders

  • You have successfully led growth efforts. You know how to segment a market and prioritize appropriately.

  • You love the details. To build a great localized product means you care about every nuance of the experience.

  • You like and are willing to travel (when possible).

  • Fluent in English

  • University degree in Business / Marketing / Engineering / Mathematics or other relevant studies


Preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working in the Food-tech, B2B SaaS (Software as a Service) or PaaS (Platform as a Service) space

  • Experience using HubSpot / Salesforce CRMs to manage lead assignment, territories, generate account lists, reports & create dashboards 

  • MBA or equivalent 

  • Fluent in French
